Family Cookbooks
Consistency is an essential element of any cookbook. When editing a cookbook, I will:
Edit all recipes for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure all recipes are cohesive and consistent with one another, including measurements and terminology.
Format your recipes according to your preference or style guide.
Edit recipe instructions, header notes, footnotes, and non-recipe sections for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style.
Assist in identifying terms for an index.
Per word rates starting at 3.5¢ USD plus tax, or 3.2¢ EUR plus VAT.
Cookbook Editing
I will edit your recipe, including title, ingredient list, method, header and/or footer notes, and any accompanying text for:
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Consistency in measurements, ingredients, and format.
Clarity of instructions.
And to ensure that:
All ingredients listed are included in the recipe, and vice versa.
The title of the recipe is appropriate to the dish.
The header and/or footer notes are relevant and/or helpful.
Any accompanying text communicates something compelling about the recipe or a key ingredient.
Per word rates starting at 3.7¢ USD plus tax, or 3.4¢ EUR plus VAT.

Recipe testing is only available as an add-on service to family cookbook editing, cookbook editing, or recipe editing.
$100 plus tax, or €95 plus VAT per recipe, plus the cost of ingredients.
