Authenticity readers, often called sensitivity readers, evaluate a text for the ways it represents an identity or experience that falls outside of the author’s own experience. This can ensure that the text does not misrepresent a population, perpetuate harmful stereotypes, or contain otherwise offensive material.

Manuscript Evaluation
With a Manuscript Evaluation, I will read your manuscript and provide a 3 to 4 page evaluation, in which I will analyze my top 5 recommendations for your work, including identifying its strengths, areas for improvement, and steps to publication. Areas analyzed may include genre adherence, plot, characterization, pacing, flow, organization, timeline, language and style, use of tropes, and general readability, among others.
Per-word rate is 1.5¢ USD plus tax or 1.4¢ EUR plus VAT.
As a beta reader, I will read through your manuscript and provide you with my honest opinion as an average reader. In a 2 to 3 page summary, I will provide feedback on your manuscript generally and identify areas for improvement, typically related to plot, characterization, and pacing.
Genres for which I read:
Non-fiction: history, food and cooking, travel, and popular science.
Fiction: historical fiction, romance, erotica, and mystery/crime.
